Pray for FourMe, a Kuwaiti blogger – Help her fight cancer!

I got this email from Anas who is trying to spread the word for FourMe:

Hello,

A Kuwaiti blogger FourMe is suffering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a

form of cancer.

A community of bloggers have put effort to create a website for

her.

It would be a great gesture if you could pray for her, spread the

word to your friends and post about her website,where people post

prayers and give support to her.

We have no idea who’s prayers are going to be answered. Please

spread to the word, help FourMe fight cancer.

International Autism Day 2nd of April “Reach Autism”

I got this letter from one of the members in “Reach” group to help spread autism. Please take your time to read it and help spread the letter and/or join facebook group, thanks!
Dear Respected bloggers :) ..
  • Due to the huge impact of your blogs on our society i would like to invite u to help us on spreading awareness about Autism ..
  • What is autism? Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them.People with autism have difficulties with everyday social interaction.
  • International Autism Day is the 2nd of April (This day was recognized by the united nations as an “International Autism day” since 2008 ..)
  • The Autism Marathon was one of the events that took place on march this year to help support Autism  this was organized by Kuwait Center for Autism , Kuwait Autism Society and Reach Volunteer group ..
  • This year we will also have a booth to distribute free ” Reach Autism ” ribbons and booklets regarding autism in  360 mall and marina mall ..
  • You can also support Autism by buying Awareness products on line through Hadeya Station where all proceeds will go to Autism children in kuwait

In my opinion the definition of autism in the letter is way too simplified but enough to attract people who never heard of autism. It is more complex obviously but it’s not relevant if you don’t know anyone who is autistic.

Walk: Spreading Autism Awareness

I am aware that the poster is huge but it does give out all the information for this marathon. It’s supported by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Sabah and he is actually there and actively participating not like most events where Sheikhs just send someone to represent them. Registration is open till the 28th of February at Marina Mall from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. The walk is from Kuwait towers till Souk Sharq.

This is a map of the walk but not the actual path. If I am not mistaken they actually take the Gulf Road all the way to Souk Sharq. So in a sense the walk is 2 km more or less. 2 km is not that bad and if any one of our readers is free on that day I wish you would go. Either way, this is for a good cause so I hope to see more people there then last year. For more information check the banner or call their number.
