Touch of Meh

I was told about this newly opened Irani restaurant back in May and was looking forward to it. My advice: Never take advice from family about food. This place was BAD, and I mean BAD! The decor and interior of the restaurant was spectacular and was very well organized, can’t really say the same thing about food. I realized that family love places where the “atmosphere” is great but won’t give two thoughts about the food (Ga3dita 7ilwa).

To tell you about myself, I am very picky when it comes to certain cuisines and Irani is one of them. Obviously it varies what counts as Irani to some people, for example there is the “Kabab May” phenomenon and then there is the “Fattiest Kabab EVER” mystery. You do get different variations of what is Irani to some people . So to recap, I have certain expectations when I go out for Irani food and this restaurant did not meet one single one!

First of all I expect the waiter to be knowledgeable at least in their menu. The waiter didn’t even know Zereshk Polo! Then there are a lot of things I expect in the food itself but I won’t dive into that to make this post short. I only wanted 3 things when I went: Mast Maseer, Kashk Badenjan, and Kabab Sulatni. How do you screw up all these I have no clue. The mast maseer HAD garlic but I couldn’t taste it. Kashk Badenjan tasted like meat and more like Keema. The Sultani, well let’s just say I tasted meat.

Every restaurant has to have one thing good. Not here! Service was crap, food was an excuse for being a restaurant, and the parking was worse then any place I have been too.
